How about to compare those two toys?
http://www.vosonic.com/index.php?PA=...=59&kind_id=12 It seems that Vosonic is a little more powerfull? How about that? |

Well.. I read few things about Vosonic and in sum I think that A2 is still better
http://www.xsdrive.de/produkte/mmv-v...mmv-vp8360.htm and about photo viewing - I'm sure that in next firmware IAudio will do something about that There've already done amazing things don't You think? |

The P2 is one of three reasons I haven't bought an A2. (The first being that the A2 doesn't support playlists, the second being that its just a lot of money, and the third being that the P2 has the potential to kick some serious PMP butt)
The iubi Blue has a few real drawbacks: You can't buy one Nobody knows how much it will cost You can't beat Cowon's support It doesn't really have too much of an advantage over the A2. Between the iubi and the A2, I'd go for the A2. |

Yeah - I agree in 100 %... and now I don't know what to decide - buy A2 or wait for P2
![]() but I didn't find anywhere if P2 supports FM... Last edited by SAKHUL; 05-15-2006 at 17:21.. |

It can't save them, and more importantly it can't load them. I don't call that a playlist. I call that a queue.

But when you boot the A2 up the "queued" songs are still there as a playlist ... |

I've been taking a long hard look at that Vosonic. I need a PMP to back up photos, and basically, the A2 won't do it. I've heard a horror story that it's USB OTG runs at 0.17mbps with certain cameras, and that's an awful long time to run on the batteries just to back the photos up (let alone view them). That's a hardware feature, and it's going to take some seriously clever programming to fix with firmware. The screen is smaller than the A2 (but you can get 120gb versions!).
The Vosonic is for photographers first (hence the SD and CF slots, damn me for using xD). My concern with it is that the "normal" PMP features aren't done to the same level (case in point, Epson p2000. Bad audio, poor movie playback, breathtaking photo viewer). Vosonic don't have the rep that Cowon do (in fact, don't have a rep at all, as I can find), so support won't be great. I don't know how it copes as an mp3 player or movie viewer / recorder... I'd love to find out (preferably before I shell out £300 / $500). It'd be nice for someone to do some firmware updates and get some more audio / movie file support on it! :bigthumbs |

"3.6” TFT LCD ,320x240 pixels , Backlight Adjustable"
You see that? 320x240! For photo viewing, that is completely unacceptable. For video viewing, that's borderline acceptable. A 320x240 display is common on PMPs manufactured 3 years ago. By comparison, the A2 (and Archos AV500 for that matter) uses a 480x272 LCD. The P2000, (dedicated photo viewer) sports an amazing 640x480 resolution LCD. Unless this thing is under the $300 mark, it isn't worth it. Chris |

Ya that resolution is terrible. If I wanted to do that, I could watch videos on my XV6700 PDA Phone lol.
The Viliv P2 does look to be awsome... Though I am leary of touch screens on a video player. That thing better ship with overlays lol. As it stands right now, the A2 is my hero. I'll just pray for an A3. :notworthy |
