Default Hey, this forum is empty!

I just kinda noticed that. It's like ... I don't think any one dares to admit they have one of these ;-)

Well just look at it, it looks absolutely horrible, cheap and trying to look like an F-1 GP car is just a complete joke. Should get some reaction to that I guess! Thanks.

I don't think Cowon will be making another player like this in the future.

It'll match people with racecar beds.

Default I just bought one...

...and personally I think it's just as good, if not better than the i5

I haven't had any problems so far with it, which is about the only time I visit the forums - which I did a lot when my 2 iaudo5 players would act up :|
I upgraded from an i5 to an F1, and it feels like an upgrade in every sense.

As far as the player looking corny - hmmm... it looks pretty cool to me - mine is the black model. It doesn't draw any attention, good or bad. While everyone's fiddling with their new ipod nanos in the gym, I'm flicking through songs right through my sweatpants pocket. No need to even take the player out to look at it

I think the USB cable is cool. Way better than having to deal with a plastic cover that doesn't always go back in properly when you disconnect the player.

1GB player was only $109.99 on newegg.com, I couldn't pass it up. Went to Cowon's site and ordered 3 plastic cases, extra usb cables, and the AC adapter. All set

One of the strangest, but really cool things about the F1, and I dunno if other players have this... but the backside of the player - the flat side (or bottom of the car, so to speak) is silky smooth, like there's a clear coating over it or something. The entire case is glossy and slick, but the back especially.

Actually, I would like to know if there's any F1 owners who are actually embarassed? I think it stomps the iaudio5 to death, and I'm still an i5 owner/lover

Now I got my iaudio5 working smoothly with the latest firmware, so I've got a backup in case I forget my F1 somewhere

I have only two gripes about the F1. First, I don't like the dashboard analog graphics - makes the player look more like a precious metal or radiation detecting device. Second is that there's no power-on indicator, other than the screen's backlight. If the player is accidentally turned on in your pocket, you won't know by looking at it. So I have to remember to put on the 'hold' switch everytime I shut off the player.

Hey, Exity, you’re the admin here, change the thread display default to “Show all”, then none of the forums will appear “empty” the way that some of them currently do. The forum here for discussion about the company, Cowon iAudio, is expecially bad - The display default set at only one day - That deafeats the purpose of having the forum, when company reps come to this site and don’t know why the forum is “empty”. I often see even longtime regular members of this site wondering where the threads went.

Cowon will be coming out with a new version to this player, the F2, in addition to a bunch of other players:

I have one and I like it. I'm just waiting until Cowon's X5 successor.
