I took the 40gb HDD from my dead Cowon M3, and dropped it in the A2. Had to flash the firmware afterwards. It works just fine, but sticks out a bit so I filled the gap with some 2-part silicone puddy that hardened to a nice stiff rubber, then trimmed the edge with a razor. Looks factory!

hi my cowon doesnt turn on and it happened after falling down.after that i showed to repairman of a cowon company and he took just a sticker on the harddisk and work now i came to malaysia_kuala lumpur and it doesnt work suddenly what should i do?help me i really need my cowon a2

It sounds a lot like the hard drive slipped out of its connector. You may wanna make sure the hdd is secured tightly, that is if you're comfortable with opening your cowon.

Hi everyone,
I read complety topic, and i've a question : actually, where can i buy an HDD 60Gb 1.8" 5mm ? Other model are out and are a good compatibility (i find exclusivly 8mm or Zif) ? Thx by advance, i search this HDD for my cowon A2. |
