I know nothing about this device, but if is like a pc, sleep means it is still drawning power, so that could have been the reason it was unresponsive.

SORRY EVERYONE & ESPECIALLY COWON
LOOKS LIKE IT'S BEEN MY FAULT

After a month of getting used to it (still haven't replaced the UI and today managed to change thehome page accidentally and cannot get it back)

I have discovered that Sleep is not off.
There are some numpties about are'nt there!
If I click the moon (which has disappeared noe that theoriginal home page has gone) I get the option to turn it off.
Don't think the very limited handbook tells me that

Back in love with it.

Yes, unbricked.
I took more than a year to build up the courage to buy it, couldn't find anything that had the spec of it and I love it.
What more can I say to praise it
Went and ordered the leather case, screen protector and a cable to TV last night, how confident can I get....

Good to hear that. Have you been able to restore the original homepage? Or did you have to install a different GUI?
