Guys, I'm sorry about the slow development at the moment...

Maybe I already mentioned it here - my brain works as follows: When I practice one of my hobbies, I do so excessively for a certain time span (which is even unknown to me). Usually, I suddenly lose all my interest after some time in what I've done for the past weeks/months and I have to do something else. It's really not a gradual process, it's all of a sudden. It's like I have to recharge my internal "motivation battery". That's just how I work - I'm a strange person, I know.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that updates will take way longer than usual in the next few weeks.

Yeah, it's called Aspergers... we nerds all suffer from it, more or less.

I know the feeling. Although, I'm more into hardware than software. When I lose interest, it's hard for me to regain it... It usually requires some sort of inspiration for me to take something in a completely different direction to regain my interest in projects once shelved.

i understand, kizune.
However, it's a shame that the most interesting, ie the music app has not benen released yet. After all it is a music player.
Would it take long to complete?

Hi Kizune,

Take your time.Enjoy the process and make cheetah just how you want it. Ignore the demands of the impatient. Your other work is serving me fine at the moment and I am keeping a keen eye on the progress in this thread, but seeing that this is your hobby and you are donating your time, some people around here are too demanding and should learn that good things take time.

Cool, finally I know the name for my behavior.

edit: Just read the Wiki article... yes, that's definitely what I have. I almost had to go to a special school (for mentally handicapped persons) because of it. My brain is very poorly developed in social interaction - interestingly, I can "talk" in the internet freely. Anyway, my parents made me absolve an IQ test, I think to check whether my teachers were right (they said I was "special" in the negative sense) - well, they weren't, my IQ is above average. Thus, my parents decided to send me to a regular high school and I'm very glad they decided this way.

I think the music app will be the thing which restores my interest in cheetah completely. But at first I have to finish the mainmenu.

Default Spreadsheet?

Have my first Cowon (J3) since 2 weeks and i love it - especially when i found my personal BBE settings

I use CheethaXT+Sense+Leaf and it's great. It's so easily to generate playlists, add music to them and change settings of everything - great job Kizune

Heard something about a spreadsheet, where the ideas for the upcoming things are collected, right? But unfortunately i can't find it...

I mentioned the spreadsheet in the first post of this thread under the headline "Development Status / Bug Reports / Suggestions".

Kizu, just a suggestion, but maybe you can ask some people to help you to develop ! Build a sort of dev-team, and you'll be the manager.

Working in team is much more exciting than working alone and it is a good medecine against "aspergers" ! When some one is discourage, the work and motivation of the other people gives him the power to restart

Maybe I'll do that later. But for Cheetah XT I prefer to stay a one-man team because it would be too difficult for other people to learn how the code works (it's complex as hell).
