It needs to be made widely known that there is a minor hassle in persuading the X7 to display album art when dragging&dropping an album-folder created by Windows Media Player.
If you enter "hidden" in the Control Panel's searchbox and click "show hidden files and folders" then check "show hidden files, folders and drives" and uncheck "hide protected operating system files" you'll see that the album-folder contains a number of AlbumArt jpeg files. The only one of interest is that called "Folder" this needs to be renamed [F2=Rename] as "Cover" on the X7. I have not altered the folders on my desktop as this prevents Explorer being able to display the AlbumArt - only on the X7. Remember to click "Restore Defaults" within the Folder Options to prevent clutter. If you need to perform this rigmarole for a large number of albums, put the coffee pot on. This a bit of a palaver but easy enough and the results - blown-up rendering of WMP's AlbumArt - is rather swish. You could find it quicker to paste the character-string "Cover" when renaming. Yeah, hmmm, seems like I'll probably need to do this, as my initial CD ripping was done 6-7 years ago using WMP on an Win XP computer. (Thankfully I went with 192kbs mp3 even then.) Now I'm on Win 7 64 bit.

Cheers for that angus, bit of a ball breaker but it works fine. Album art now installed instead of stupid piano keys. Many thanks.
