Beginners Guide To Sense, Lynx and Leaf

Are there any guides to Sense, Lynx and Leaf.

I have just started using them and the basic stuff like setting up the desktop icons, playing music, viewing photos is straight forward.

It is the settings I am having trouble understanding and configuring. I have played about with so many different parameters and turned the machine off and on but cannot see any changes after.

For example I have set the 'Launcher Button' to:-
Action: Run App
App: Pictures
but when I turn the X7 off and on it starts with Music each time and not the pictures. Is this Launcher Button related to startup or something else and if so how can I find out what else? (without a brief guide).

Also I am having trouble adding tracks to Playlists - I can 'Fill from faves (Append and Overwrite)' but I cannot add any tracks from elsewhere - is there a plugin or something that I need (again a guide would be usefull)

I agree. I just got an X7, and found out about these UCI's. I installed both Leaf and Sense, and while they seem like great add-ons, they are not intuitive when you're not familiar with them, and this is where a guide or a manual should come in to the rescue.
I've been playing with it, and i learn from my mistakes, and this is not an ideal way to learn.
Even a chart with what each icon does, a tiny label next to each icon, you gotta give the user something he can learn from... this is very frustrating. I do something, then i don't know how to undo it.
