Thumb Up My Way To Convert Videos for S9 (non-free)

Hi, I have proven myself that using a free program WITH a non-free program makes ALL THE WAY EASIER!
I use JetAudio to convert AVI videos for my S9,
but... What about WMV, DivX, Xvid, MPG, flv, and any other abnormal format?
So...
I use Format Factory as the first stage - I convert any file firstly to AVI using the "All To AVI" preset in "High Quality and Size".
This may double the process but it's working...
Then, I take to file which converted to AVI and THEN convert it using JetAudio video converter with the "Cowon O2/S9/J3: Auto Normal Quality (Default) High Speed" preset.

Worked on about 150 movies\videos in all kinds for me!
Hope I helped!

I use format factory (free program). Just convert to avi and change the video size to 420x270

I always refer to this and works everytime and looks fantastic!

I can enjoy h.264 video [unofficially] just fine if I follow the guide and use the suggested software (XVID4PSP) and settings mentioned (heck profiles are supplied by the famous dfkt) in the thread!

P.S. Forgot to mention the link above is free software and with the settings above you get smaller file sizes (thanks to h.264) that still look great!

Jet audio works fine for avi, but if you want mp4 with h.264 you better use the software
da1writer described. H264 gives better quality with smaller file size.
Downside is that I can't make .smi subs work together with mp4 (on my J3)

It would depend on what you are watching. Music videos,tv,movies, or anything recorded need a high quality.but if its cartoons/anime I use jetAudio at the lowest quality and it still looks great.
If you are really intent on watching videos at a high quality you wouldn't do that on a 480*272 screen.
