How to install (Flash Edition):

Extract the archive in the Flash folder.

How to install (Launcher Edition):

Extract the archive in /System/Flash UI/.
You need a UCI which allows you to create custom icons or run custom apps in another way (for example Lynx).

Note:

The archive contains two example documents to show how to add own documents to the list.

Removing the example documents:

- Delete the two folders in /doc_viewer/.
- Open the XML file in /doc_viewer/ and delete the two <document> entries.

Adding new documents:

Open the XML file in /doc_viewer/ and add a new line between <documents>...</documents>
<document title="Shown Title" folder="Name of Folder" />

Then create a new folder in /doc_viewer/. The name of that folder must be the same as the folder name you entered in the XML file.

Open the new folder and paste every page in there.
The pages must be JPG files.
Rename the pictures to their corresponding page, so the first page's picture is named '1.jpg', the second '2.jpg' and so on.
Do not skip a page, otherwise the document viewer will only show the pages from 1 to the page before the gap.

How to convert PDF to JPG

- Visit http://www.zamzar.com/
- Select the PDF files you want to convert in the first box
- Select the target format, JPG in this case, in the second box
- Enter your mail address in the third box
---> If you don't want to enter your email address, you can make a temporary trash mail account here: http://www.trash-mail.com/
---> In 'Müll-Adresse eingeben:' you enter anything you want. Press the 'Mails holen' button regularly to check if the mail from zamzar has arrived.
- Press 'Convert' in the fourth box
- When the mail has arrived, use the link under the text which says 'Alternatively click on the following link to download a copy of your converted file'.

Please note that the exit button doesn't work in the Flash Edition because this version of the Document Viewer is executed in Flash mode. You can only close the app by pressing the physical play button.

Umm, it's not that difficult. Also, there's a how-to in my post and the app contains two examples.

If you mean how to convert PDF files to JPGs, feel free to do so.

Looks good to me, I'm going to give it a try.
Although...converting pdf to jpg might be a bridge to far for me.
Too much effort just to read pdf's on the J3

Holy crap! I mentioned a text/document viewer in one post in jest, not expecting it to be done as I know you might be pretty busy with your own other projects (if there is any that I don't know of like the C2 or Leaf bug fixes). This is a welcome surprise. Might you be tearing a few pages from Klaus and add a possible Jukebox in this as well (his was extremely basic if you want to go that route)...

EDIT: Wait, I noticed this is a flash file and not a text viewer swf like Klaus - might you be working on one in the future or is this the actual document viewer. I like it either way as I'm pretty sure you can ccustimize this any way you want with it being custom swf and all, just wondering...

Hey, it's just an App to view converted PDF files very easily - like Comix, which contains lots of settings to view comics.

So is there a possibility of a text viewer being able to be made by you for txt files or is this it and I just use primopdf ("prints" files to pdf form) to convert my files and then zamzar...

Not trying to make it a big deal, just being a curious little boy
