Just got my cowon d2+ 8gb which I love! I quickly filled up the 8gb and in order to get some more free space I bought a 32 gb sdhc card. The computer recognizes the card and I formatted it with the panasonic tool to FAT32. I tried to add some albums by directly copying the folders from my music folder to the sd card. Then I ran the player and db updated but noen of the albums where to be found. Do I need to create a new music folder equal to the one in the cowon folder? Hoping for a quick answer as I'm leaving for my summer cabin in 3 hours and I want more music and videos on my player. Thanks for any help!

I created a separate folder "Music" on my SD card and copied all the albums there into separate subfolders and it works like charm!

i dont use database based browsing, BUT I have found that using teracopy(google it) works very well for transferring large amounts of data to cards without causing some of the issues strait drag and drop/copy paste can cause.
and sa michael says, clean up your tags before loading the music onto the device. I use dbpoweramp's editor to do an album at a time normally, removing any un-needed tags, then i run mp3tag over it to remove any extra tags like ape tags or older id3 tag versions. can be a bit of work but once you get into the habbit of keeping your collection clean it its a breeze. |
