My s9 got wet by my sweat, which means it is not totally wet, it was sort of moisture inside, maybe caused by my body heat and sweat.
Initially, it shut down. When I got home, it seemed to dry, it started again. BUT, it seems time and date always get reset. Worse part is that accelerometer seems not to work. I can't use video horizontally. What should I do?? Should I reformat it? or drain the battery? Sorry i don't have idea on how to open my s9, and I'm not confident about doing it.. Please help.. |

The point probably is that if it was pure water, it would have dried without any problems... But because your sweat also contains salt and some other stuff it probably damaged some parts... Don't think reformatting will help, but it's worth a try!

This is actually the second time it happened. First time, it just dried up after a day, and went good. This time is bad, need the accelerometer badly, video is useless in vertical mode.

Since sweat contains a large amount of salt, the consequences can be more than tragic - Salt corrodes the track circuit boards, and any actual metal that fell under her arm. Refusal accelerometer can only be the beginning of a string of failures. So it's a story can get a sad end.
In your place I would attribute to the service of diagnosis, if you are afraid to disassemble (although this is done in 10 minutes). If there are numerous traces of copper oxides on the track board - this is the end Sorry for English, a little problem with English, we have to use use Google Translite. * cru * |
