Since about 2-4 years ago I first heard about Cowon. I think it was iAudio 7 and I felt like I needed one. But at that time I didn't have money.
So! I FINALY bought my Cowon iAudio 9 a week ago, because I started at a workplace and needed one good MP3 player. ![]() So the story is: After just one day of use (about 8 hours) the screen was malfunctioning. The pixels are locked (Black) to not let the back-light slip trough. ![]() But the iAudio 9 works. I can use it and listen to music and the buttons are working. So clearly the screen has lost contact somehow. Resetting doesn't work since it probably inst firmware related. I paid 170 USD for the 8 gigabyte iAudio 9 at Dustin.no in Norway. http://www.dustinhome.no/pd_5010368783.aspx I sent a request to the reseller (Dustin.no) and they are going to send me a return stamp/ticket/piece_of_paper_to_stick_to_the_package_box In Norwegian: Quote:
The best thing to do is to send it in to get it repeared, if it wasn't physical damage or damp it will be covered by the guarantee. I hope it get it fixed. It was a very good player. Fast at starting playing tracks (FLAC's (I was stunned)). The interface was weird, but that is something you learn (like a new cell-phone). Excellent for my type of work. But the volume buttons is hard to reach when it is the pocket. Changing songs while it is in my pocket works like a sharm. Changing the sensibility lower is recommended (if used in pocket). So! I will keep you guys and girls updated! And in the meanwhile maybe someone got some tips? I heard about other/custom firmwares (in signatures), nothing to think about? I also heard about choosing non-European (at startup) to get more sound out of it (deleting settings file if you have choose'd European). |
