Default During charging battery the screen is black, is it normal?

Hi, I bought Cowon D2+ 16GB and I have this problem (I don’t know if it is really problem, but it is really annoying!):

- When I charge battery by USB in computer, the screen turns black (switches itself off) and I don’t see if the battery is charging or not and it’s really annoying.
- Then I upgraded my firmware from 2.11 to 2.13, because I thought that the problem will be solved. But during the installation of new firmware the screen was switched off, too. The installation was luckily all right but the problem with screen is still there

I don’t know what I should do with that. Is it normal for this player? or Should I complaint?

Thanks for any help

P.S.: sorry about my English, I’m not native speeker.

Everything is alright with the player. I would find it annoying to have the D2 charging with the display always on

If you want to know the charging status when the screen is black, move the on/off switch and the D2+ will awake and show the charging screen.

When I do it, the screen still doesn't work - during charging the battery, the screen turns black after 4-5 minutes and is black even if I do anything. It's not screensaver or savings LCD, the screen is simply black and doesn't work, but the charging work, because the battery is full after several hours. But I don't know when the battery is full or when the battery is full enough for playing. And this is really annoying. And I don't know if this is normal for this player or not :/

Just tested this with my D2 connected via USB. Sliding the on/off switch shortly to the left lets the screen awake. Currently it tells me "USB connected" and below "Battery Full".

I have an "old" D2 but running D2+ firmware (3.11), so I think everything should be the same for you.

OK, it's work! - I upgraded my firmware from 2.13 to 3.13, but the LCD still wasn't work so I once more checked every button on MP3 and I discovered that the LCD works when I push the Power/Hold button to the position "Hold" and back and once more - and after this the LCD wakes up! I wrote that I bought this MP3 recently and it is my first Cowon, so why did anybody tell me that I should do this? I didn't know that when I want to wake up my LCD I need to do this. I focused on the Power/Hold button on position "Power" and I tried to push it there all the time but it didn't work... never mind, it's worked, so I'm really happy!!! And I want to thank BioMarco for your help because you tell me that it should work, so I tried it as long as I discovered that it's so simple. Thanks guy
