Default New I9 freezes dead

Hello
My son just unpacked his new I9 and transferred some mp3
with W7 when the player suddenly freezes.
-No more recognized by W7 (I also tried with my Ubuntu)
-It just starts and freezes on the first white screen
Has somebody an idea of what's happening?
Any ideas to fix the problem (unbrikking? reformat ?)
I don't know what to do as the device in no more recognized by the OS ???

I have kind of the same problem here. It's freezing on the startup after i installed 1.13 firmware. Can't bring it to finish it's startup. Also came out of the box today. This is so annoying!

Don´t know if you´ve already done something. I guess its the best to contact the customer service, they are usually very friendly.

I would try a reset and if it boots properly change the mode to UMS and try to connect again. Since they’re brand new, you can always RMA them and get a new one, I haven’t had any issues with mine from day one but I have heard that some have received faulty ones.
