One other point-

From my point of view, they could just fix Favorites a bit and have that work as a "Now Playing" list. Simply add the following features to Favorites:
1) The ability to add an album (when browsing by artist or album)
2) The ability to clear the list easily.
3) Other deletion features, like "Delete already played" or something to that effect.

If they added these things, one could use Favorites as a serviceable "Now Playing" list. I'm sure I'm not the first person to notice this, but perhaps I can save someone else from reinventing the wheel.

Also the ability to add an entire artist as well.

Yeah, but then we'd still be stuck in a very narrow option--that is, only having one on-the-go playlist. It'd be best to add another...although it would be interesting seeing how they'd solve the navigation problem. They COULD add another icon in the Browser/Bookmarks/Favorites cycle, but that'd get gratuitous.

Thumb Up

A definite YES from me. My personal favorite as far as browsing/playlist managment is rockbox, but the things that bother me the most in S9 firmware are only:
1. 256 songs limit
2. inability to easily clear favorites - although Claw's UI does that well.
3. inability to add folders deeper than one level by simply choosing them.(one has to go inside and pick a loose song which adds anything else in that folder, including subfolders)

additionally, ability to create m3u(8) playlists on the fly would be awesome. but I don't wanna be too greedy.

Hey I don't know if this has been mentioned before or not (sorry if it has!)
but I remember on my Creative Zen, it had a list that was like "Most listened to". Or songs I listen to the most and it had the number of plays next to it. Imo, that would be phenomenal.

Default One small additional suggestion

If you think so, please forward to developers ... and, of course, there should be an accessible from the music screen clear queue button.

I had a Zen Sleek and I remember those options Restless101. They had a most played, least played and an album of the day option.

No, it's not available, and if it ever will be, it will be on the j3, now that the s9 is all obsolete and stuff.

(If you can't tell, the j3 is making me depressed, now the s9 support is going to go down the tubes just like the poor folks who still have the i6)

Shame on cowon
If they really use what they create they should understand how “add to now playing” is needed.

All cool ideas.....would be great if they actually listened
Should we mention bug fixies here too?
Cause the ogg tag issue is driving me nuts!

Yes! And they should do a feature for creating as much playlists as you like.
