I recently ordered a case from Mistic Audio and I am very happy with it. The case is excellent quality, and fits very sleekly around the x5. This case is made out of very good quality leather and it has cutouts in all the right places to access all the functions of the player. When I received my case there was a small opaque scratch on the plastic protector which interferred with viewing of the screen. I send a e-mail to Mystic Audio and Jeff replied back saying he would get a new one out to me. Now that is fantastic customer service.

I was wondering how bulky the MisticAudio case is compared to the Cowon one?

its slightly bulkier since its not form fitting like the cowon case. the mistic case has a foam insert on the bottom part and to even the frontside apperance out, and protect the joystick.

Thanks for the reply, one more question: is the Cowon case as bad as everyone says? Someone told me it felt of cheap quality and the stiching was bad.

The cowon case came with my X5L for free. I don't think it is of cheap quality and I'm not bothered by the white stitching. The cutting is quite nice, fits the player perfectly. However, I do hate the fact that the case does not have cutout for the subpack. I need to take my X5L out from the case every time i need to charge it or connect with the PC. Very inconvenient!

I got my mistic Audio case today. I dont have a player yet So I can't comment on that but I got it in about 7 or so working days or 10 days in total (I ordered on a weekend and another came up in that time). Some might say this shipping is slow by that figure, although I assure you its because I'm in Australia (they dont do main on weekends also). The whole process was very seemless, I was extremly happy and it arrived in pristine condition.

It seems quality, the parts all seem good and I love the clip. The only thing that annoyed me was the screen protector comes with lil rubber films that are supposed to be removed and are there to protect it durring shipping. The front one seemed to have been sowen on sorta with the other protector. YOu can tear it away fairly easy but it was a little annoying and in one corner it didnt come off 100% cleanly leaving a small spec there. Its probably not to small as for me to get a pin to remove t, definetly isnt an issue. I actually used a pacer to push it back under the leather and its gone. It was about the size of a grain of sand and isn't a problem. If it reamerges I'll use a pin to poke it away for good.

I'm extremly happy with the case and although I don't anticipate any purchases in the near future, I wouldnt think twice about ordering from the site again.

I'll do a full review when I have my player. I took some photos of everything for when that time comes.

edit: the case smells nice too

Yes Frost, that would only make it $2 more and is totally worth it since i hear that the misticaudio case is a bit better in quality.... don't mark my words tho

Free shipping is only up to the end of this month I believe so order soon. http://www.misticaudio.com had details on the frontpage regarding the offer.

They have sold out of the X5L series and only have ONE X5 left. If you miss out maybe try emailing him before the 31st deadline.

I emailed zCovers yesterday to check on the status of their X5/X5L cover and it is still being developed.

Still planned for August release. I'm excited!

Hello all,

Has anyone tested both leather and silicone cases ?
Which one is better in term of protection, lifetime of the case itself, maintenance/cleaning, etc... ?

Thank you,
Chock

just wanted to give another quick thunbs up for misticaudio's customer service. My case was missing the larger screw so Jeff sent me a one right away - no questions asked.

A refreshing change from some of the online sellers I have used (eBuyer anyone?).

Anyway, not news or even interesting (!) but good service deserves to be recognised - good work misticaudio!

That's rather funny because my case also came without the larger screw.

Jeff send it to me in a huge enveloppe:-)
A tiny screw in a humorous huge enveloppe.

I have it now and a big thumbs up to Jeff his product and his service which are all outstandin!!!!

mine took about that long. Bare in mind that you have international shipping and then local shipping to go with that. The site/Jeff said about 7 days, I fully presume this means working days which means you are close to that 7, maybe 1 day longer. It took me a day or two extra. Ohh and also it's not from when you ordered, its from when it shipped which would probably have been the day after you made the actual order.
