Default The X5 Case Thread [all questions & comments, all brands]

Hi guys,

Note: Posts regarding player-cases for the X5 are to go in this thread. Questions, reviews, comments, compliments, complaints, whatever. Put them here. This applies to cases/service from Noreve, Mistic, iAudio, and any other brand.

The exception would be for a new product announcement or a formal review.

Otherwise...

DO NOT START A NEW THREAD THAT HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH CASES..
USE THIS THREAD INSTEAD.

k? Please. There are too many redundant topics so with this we will consolidate the subject to one thread. This should make life easier for people who are interested in cases as well as those who are not.

Thank you.

Grrrr MisticAudio site again isnt working for me...however

it was 30mins ago, which gave me enough time to see there was only 4 cases left and only 3 days left of free shipping, meaning if I didnt grab one of those 4 I would miss out (being all the way in Australia I save a fair bit). Uber uber uber, ordered it just then even though I wont be getting the player till the end of the month, since itll take longer to get here I figured why the hell not, may as well have the case here by the time my player arrives anyway. It turned out cheaper than buying a iAudio Cowon case locally too.

So yeah, I'm sad I cant access the site again, I have no idea what this hate is, maybe its my firewall I duno. At least I got my order done. YAY

I should have the Mistic Audio case by Wednesday next week. I'll write my opinion of it when I get it.

I am looking for a silicone case with screen protector, with a removable rotating ratchet belt clip. Black is the best color for me.

What kind of case you guys are looking for?

I just got my misticaucdio X5 case.

Pros: Ordered it on Wednesday morning, got it on Saturday. Gotta love the quick turnaround. It's a very functional, well designed, well constructed, attractive leather case which fits nearly to a tee.

Cons: "fits nearly to a tee" means that the top isn't quite as tight as I'd like (The top flap uses buttons to fasten which I feel is classier then velcro, however that means that you can't adjust it to be loser or tighter). Also, as other people have noted, the case hides the X5 "hump" which is too bad as that is one of the X5s distinctive features and I'd like the case to show it.

Feature request: I havn't seen this on any case so I didn't want to put it down as a "con" but I really think the design would be enhanced by including pouch or pocket for the subpack.

Conclusion: Great case, I'd recommend it to anyone. Great company, I'd buy from them again anytime and would feel comfortable suggesting them to my Grandma (the ultimate test for any company).

What is the difference between an X5 case and an X5L case?

The unit is 4mm thicker, so presumably will the case.

I just got the MisticAudio case and it really is good. The only complaints I have are how it looks like a brick and I wish there was a small flap on the sides at the top. Whenever I put my headphones in, the top part of the player slides a little bit out of the case.

uh, even if we knew where you bought it from, factors like shipping and such remain beyond our power of precognition.

Got a question concerning the mistic audio case. When I slide the belt clip on, the case swivels freely, is there a way to lock the swivel so that case stays in once place w/out swiveling? Thanks!

The case is made to swivel freely thus relieving any kind of strain from the belt clip and allowing full freedom of movement.

In the future I would ask for the sake of iAudiophile that all support questions be directed offline to: jeff at misticaudio.com
