Help help cowon d2 freezes halfway startup

I just bought this cowon d2
worked fine out of the package
but then I uploaded some songs en vids to it
after I unplugged the usb
it blockes everytime I start up
I tried everything
even tried that tool to unbrick it
bit still doenst work
I don't want to send it back
it'll take forever to get it back
and they'll probably say its my fault

Not sure what the reset would do for you other than shut the player off. That is all the reset does...removes all power...nothing else.

You might have some really poorly tagged music files or a really screwed up video file.

IMHO, try removing all of your files and see if it works with the ones that came with the D2...

What size is your D2 is it and what Firmware?

What happens if you remove all the music and video files you put on it? Does it start then?

You do not need to run Tcctool unless the computer does not recognize it.

You just might have a real hardware failure...It has been known to happen.

What happens when you use Tcctool?

The more detailed your response the better...

You should use post number 2.

when you see the youtube video
you'll see that the only thing it does is turning on, and then halfway scanning it freezes.
that's it
that's all it does
then the image gets scrambled
or it turns off by himself

I was asking about what did or did not work when using Tcctool.

All your video shows, is that your D2 is broken...Not what you have tried or what you observed when trying to fix it and have failed.

IMHO, you should get a RMA Number and return it for repair/replacement. It should be a lot quicker and easier...

Have a great day and weekend...

Something has to happen...An error message, device found, something...

Please cut and paste the contents of the Command prompt Window after you run the command "tcctool -d cowond2 d2N.bin"
