A2 Vs 605wifi

Hi
i´m going to buy a new pmp for music and video and some audiobooks.
Is the archos the better choice for this? I´ve seen comparisons between the 604 and the a2, but none between these players. My main concern is that i don´t want to convert any of my files wich are mainly avi (divx,xvid).
Is it possible that archos can make their player play mkv with h264 in it?
I´ve seen a clip that compares the a3 to the 605 and i must say that it looked like the sreen on a3 had better colour and was better to display black.

I really dont know....

please point me in some direction!
