I use 3.5 firmware and i know that it don't have MTP!!! Please explain me what is it because i want to know if i need it and comeback to 2.5 version!!!!!

MTP does have it's benefits. For example, it's an abstract transfer mechanism which means (for example) it's not tied to a particular filesystem (mounting a drive directly through usb requires knowledge of the filesystem type).

That is a good point cjcox. It is certainly (in theory) a more sensible way to get stuff on and off a music device. It's just a shame it's not as ubiquitous as the mass storage device, which now has native support in pretty much every operating system. When that happens i may consider using it...

It's fine until something goes wrong (never happen of course) at which point you discover you have no tools for checking and repairing the internal file store of an MTP device.
It also doesn't help if you wanted to move other file types to / from the device.
