touch buttons set off by themselves

hi guys

first time poster

have had my i7 for over 2 years and its awesome - built like a brick

one thing that happens occasionally though is when i hold it in my hand the forward track touch button can get sensitive - even if you hold the player by its edge it can still detect it and it will start skipping forward tracks. eventually it goes crazy and just fast forwards tracks by itself even if i put it down

turning device on and off again fixes it. Lately it has been doing it nightly and only if i keep holding it in my hand. Wondering if its static ?

anyone else has heard of this

btw- settings for touch button sensitivity is on normal - i dont like the settings either side, its either unresponsive or over responsive

Yeah, mine does this occassionally (though certainly not daily). I've always presumed it's because of heat as it tends to do it in direct sunlight. As you say, a hard reboot fixes it but that's all I can add, mate.
