Default Track lengths in QTScrobbler extacted from C2 player

I've just discovered something with the C2 (firmware 1.17) which I'd thought I'd share.

If you update the database using 'database update' in settings/system, QTScrobbler will stop being able to extract the track lengths from the C2.

I was having problems with track lengths not being extracted from the C2 by QTScrobbler when getting info from the C2 database of played tracks. QTScrobbler 0.11 (which was partly created to solve this problem) can download track lengths from last.fm, but unfortunately, if the last.fm track names are inaccurate (this is not uncommon) and don't match yours or you have an obscure taste of music that is unlikely to be documented on last.fm, the track lengths won't be found on last.fm and downloaded. Hence in this situation it would be good to fall back on the info on the actual player.

I have come across advice that you must transfer you tracks to the C2 using MTP inorder for track lengths to be obtainable from the C2. This I have found to be true. However, at some point after getting track length extraction to work after using MTP to transfer tracks, QTScrobbler started failing to get track lengths again for MTP transferred files.

I have finally got round to doing some experimenting and have found that if you go to settings/system and select 'database update' this then stops QTScrobbler from being able to extract track lengths. Well . . . there you have it.
