no problems so far.
only file-check on the external drive seems to take slightly longer. |

Oh nice. I hadn't even noticed the bug. I wonder if they changed any other little things while they were at it.
EDIT: No problems so far for me.

Tried 2.29 but my Rhapsody tracks stopped working and it refused to sync new licenses. Had to downgrade to 2.28.

I upgraded to the 2029 and my video files are not in the correct order. Also, now when I press my video button, the player has to reread the files on the external chip. I think I am going back to 2.26. that up date was much more stable...

I see this still hasn't fixed the issue of AAC (.m4a) files being in the wrong order when tag browsing, which is why I go back to 2.23 each time.
The track number tags in AAC files have never been honoured by the J3, but in the old firmwares you can simply ensure that the track number is included in the song title tag as they are listed in alphabetical order. However recent firmwares put the first track at the end and they still haven't fixed this. So for a five-track album you end up with: 02 - name 03 - name 04 - name 05 - name 01 - name The only solution would be to call the final track of each AAC album 00 - name so that it would sort as first alphabetically and thus end up last due to the bug! |

I'm sorry if this is posted somewhere else, or if this was corrected before the last update, but have you noticed that the J3 now outputs music through the RCA cable? And the player does't turn off when you switch video files (when watching through TV)?
