Moving this over to the general DAP forum since it doesn't seem to be X5-specific.

Judging from the anti-flash sentiment of all the replies, this thread looks like it actually DOES belong in the X5 forum. Reading those ridiculous notions posted on the first page made me wonder where I was. The interest of flash-based devices does exist outside of Korea. I will never accept HDD-based personal audio devices, because flash is the only kind of memory sturdy enough for my usage.
However, I too am not excited about jewelry-style devices. I'm looking for a 4GB successor to the iAudio G3. If high-capacity flash is not possible for Cowon, then I'd be happy with an iAudio G3 that has an enclosed slot, for expansion via SD-cards.

I'm not interested in a capacity smaller than 20 gigs myself. It would be a shame if Cowon neglected the large-capacity market.
Since there are other DAPs (even other Cowon DAPs) with large capacities though, I'll stick by my view that this isn't X5-specific. |

I'm with 608zz...I don't think it will be long before 10GB flash (2007) and larger devices become a mainstay.
