My cowon just came in after I've been using a shitty 1gb mp3 player for like 6 years (seriously raging atm been saving up for this). I read that you should install the firmwire updates. Little did I realise that my player was already up to date. Sooo I accidently installed 1.10 .
And now it's stuck at the famous 1/5th of the loading bar everytime I reset the device. I have been using this http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum...ghlight=frozen and this: http://iaudiophile.net/forums/showthread.php?t=37160 I've tried to get the tcctool working but everything just doesn't seem to work. When I open the CMD panel it says C:\Users\User. Is this normal? Then what should I fill in there (real noob at this). I have the tcctool folder in C:\Program Files\tcctool. I also checked Disable driver signature enforcement at setup. When I go to Device manager it mentions TCC77x VTC USB Driver. However when i try to run tcctool it just blinks and nothing happens Thanks in advance Last edited by reggub; 06-09-2012 at 08:07.. |

did you try putting the i9 in Boot Mode before trying to use Tcctool? "Hold down the Menu Button and connect to PC" then follow the Guide that you Linked. should be straight forward from there
also, for the device name in Tcctool try iaudio7 or iaudio9. Good luck!

were u able to fix ur iaudio 9? I just recently got mine last week, yesterday I got the same problem as urs the progress bar stuck at 1/5 of the way, and I cannot do anything. I tried tcctool, I was able to select the firmware, and everything, but still it doesn't fix the problem. I have not heard much of a fix, it sucks big time. I am sending it back, I have put it back in the box. Let me know if your's works now. Btw, i was working on a mac. I had to borrow my roomates windows laptop to try this, and I was bummed, it should work, but after restart it does teh same thing, I have heard one more person on some forum had the same problem. Trying to decide whether I should get another one, and try it. I am not happy with this, but the sound quality is terrific.

CadaV, you have to be very careful with iaudio 9, do not upload music onto it, and then edit the tag of songs on the device, it freezes if you do that. Edit the tags on your computer before transferring it to the device. I am being extra careful since that happened, and it hasn't happened since.

thats how mine froze, and then got a replacement and have been careful ever since. do you have mac or windows? i have a mac, and you have to set the mode of transfer to something that works. i dont remember off the top of my head. hasn't happened ever since that.
