Hey Kizu - Any chance the Jukebox could become a widget that could be placed on the Lynx UI main menu? I think that would be really great as it gives more control than the Lynx music-player widgets (I think). It would also mean not having to use the Cowon music UI for playing music (which I don't like because the design of the top-bar - battery indicator etc - changes depending on whether you're navigating with Lynx or listening to music).

I don't work on Lynx anymore - Cheetah is my current project and has a lot more features than Lynx.

From the Lynx main menu, tap on Browser button to enter Leaf and reveal the menu bar with five icons, on Page 1 of the menu bar, at the bottom of the screen.
Drag the menu bar to the left to reveal the next four icons, on Page 2 of the menu bar. Third icon from the left is a square, which is the Leaf settings icon. Tap it to get into Settings presentation. At the bottom of that Settings presentation is a line that shows "Version 2.1.0" and the release date of 2011/07/24. Kizune's latest existing "production" UCI package: (a) Lynx, for main menu desktop. Download from here. (b) Leaf, for browser. Download from here. (c) Sense, for music. Download from here. (d) Vision, for pictures. Download from here. Last edited by DSperber; 06-14-2012 at 03:01.. |

Hi!
First of all, thank you Kizu, you make a great job! I look forward to Cheetah GTX! Currently, I use the combination leaf + sense with the default 2nd main menu : they combine very well to me. And I work on the perfect configuration. I have few questions about leaf's settings : _ "acceleration" & "text scroller speed" : what's the difference between them? _ "bounce" & "one direction" : I don't see the difference between them ? _ What is the purpose of "auto alignment"? _ Can I change the background color without putting a wallpaper ? _ Is there a way to stop completely the scrolling when it arrives to the bottom/top, without the bounce ? I know you have stop working on this project but I hope you will answer. Sorry for my bad english. Last edited by kdk94; 08-22-2012 at 20:02.. |

there is: just rename the coverflows browser.swf to coverflow.swf (i think), and use leaf as you always would. now when pressing the home button in leaf it wont go straight to the mainmenu but give you two options- coverflow, or mainmenu. same in sense, with the browser button. (we are talking about el macos coverflow, right?)

If I recall correctly (and this is also why I explored briefly, and then discarded this add-on) El Maco's coverflow functionality only supports music files on internal storage. External card folders/files are not supported. That was unacceptable to me for my collection.

Is there a way... or will there be a way in the future that Leaf (and Cheetax GTX if possible) will have a landscape-layout? I like the feature in Sense and as all video's also play in landscape mode this would make things a bit more user friendly! I love the projects though, keep up the good work, it made my X7 much better!

Hi Kizune,
I know you're working to cheeta, but going out for holidays and just before moving, filling my J3 with some live gigs, with Leaf I noticed a strange thing.. and I really appreciate if you could fix only this issue , actually all you did works really fine.In the SD card I have a parent directory Music, with some sub-directories with FLAC live concerts as shown in the jpg attached. It happens that when I browse the leaf dirs Disc 1 or Disc 2, the contents of some of them is shown as it belongs to another parent-dir.. in this case (looking at my jpg) this is what happens Disc 1 of "Depeche Mode 1998-12-18 The Forum, Inglewood [ALD]" shows the content of Disc 1 of "The Cure - 2000-04-11 Libro Hall, Vienna, Austria [SBD]" Disc 2 of "Depeche Mode 1998-12-19 The Forum, Inglewood [ALD]" shows the content of Disc2 of "David Gilmour - 1984-06-29 Berkley, CA, USA ('New Game') [SBD]" You could test doing a similar thing using a similar way of directories patterns, using "Music" as parent, then some directories with Disc 1 / Disc 2 as leaf-dirs and some directories without, like I shown in the jpg. Could you check this? Uninstalling temporarily Leaf and testing with the default cowon browser it doesn't happen (with firmware 2.23 or 2.29 is the same), so I'm assuming this is a Leaf issue... Thanks in advance G. |

Could this be a "cache" problem? Did you move things around after you initially copied the music folders/files from PC to J3, then used the J3 and decided you wanted to make some changes so you reconnected to PC to make those changes, and now you're back on the J3 and seeing those issues?
Is your cache setting "persistent" (i.e. retrieved from SOL files stored on the J3) or does it get recreated each time you enter a new level? If it's currently set at "persistent" have you tried changing that to "always recreate new cache" (sorry, I forget the actual wording as I this is how I have it set on my own J3 but I haven't changed it since deciding on that option, and don't have my J3 in front of me to explore)? Have you tried deleting those residual SOL cache files on your J3 (while connected to Windows, so you can see what's in \System\Flash UI with Windows Explorer)? Not "could it be", but "it is" a cache problem
![]() Thanx a lot DSperber, I forgot that setting.. the only way to get rid of it issue is disabling the cache... even if I reset the cache (obviously with cached enable-session), it just change what sub-folder is repeated in the other parent-folder (maybe something related to the long-named directories i have?) when I open again the browser.. anyway, with cache disabled, it works fine ![]() Thanks again G. |
