Default How to load Rockbox in D2+

I have Cowon d2+ 4GB running 2.13 firmware with 16 SD card. I want to run rockbox on it can some one help me out with this?

I don't know how to patch original Cowon firmware using mktccboot and from where should I download mktccboot utility

I followed the steps in that site but when I turned it on Rockbox logo appeared for some time and then the player completely gone blank and turned off and now its not at all turning On even when i connect it with my Laptop

I think the player is Dead now

Some how it has started working normally now but when i connect my D2+ to my laptop it doesn't recognizes it as a removable disk

Am using Win 7 Ultimate x64

Hello Pinder4u,

does the computer not recognize the player when you are using the OF or when you are using rockbox? Have you tried another computer?

BTW, could you explain what you mean with "started working normally"? Does rockbox work now? Which bootloader did you use? Did you patch your own firmware?

I have had similar problems (I couldn't get rockbox to work) but I have a well running rockboxed d2+ using the current build of rockbox and the bootloader you find here. Please note that that is for firmware 3.13, sou you might upgrade your d2+.

But first I hope you can get your d2 be recognized by your computer.

Edit: Sometimes the screen of the player is off and the player acts like it is dead, but if you look close to the screen you see that there is something on it, but with no backlight on. Try putting strong light on the screen, or look on the screen in a differnt angle and light conditions.

actually my player was bricked so I restored it using Tcctool .. Now am running the default 2.13 firmware
