Default [Bugs & Flaws] Cowon Z2 Firmware V1.31

Please, if you find bugs and flaws, post them here. Lets help Cowon make the Z2 a better device.
Also, please confirm bugs other people reported. I want to make sure the bugs really happen due to the firmware and not due to one's configuration.

----------------------------------

Reported Bugs:

[Bug] Random freezes (+ restart) [x3]

[Bug] Memory card error [x2]

[Bug] When i use a third party player "PowerAmp" and accidentally press the play button, there will be a popping hiss and the default player will start to play. The hiss wasn't that loud. [x1]

[Flaw] When you open the next/previous track, there's a very annoying delay. Its duration varies, the longest I got was two seconds. It's especially annoying when you open many tracks in a row. [x2]

----------------------------------

(The [xN] part shows how many times a bug was reported)

This also happens randomly, I get a micro sd card is damage message then it resets the player. It might be the brand PNY, It never happens when i switch to a Sandisk card.

Rob_127: It's probably the brand. I have three Sandisk microSD cards and I've never got such an error message. I can confirm the random freezes, though.

[Bug] Random freezes [x2] +1

[Bug] Memory card error [x1] +1 I am using Samsung Microsd 32gb Class10 made in korea card.
It kept saying sd card damaged but it works after a restart. Basically, if i tried to use the card before the scan is finished, there is a higher chance i will get this error.

[Flaw] When you open the next/previous track, there's a very annoying delay. Its duration varies, the longest I got was two seconds. [x1] +1
I rarely have this error even though it do happen.

[Bug] When i use a third party player "PowerAmp" and accidentally press the play button accidentally, there will be a popping hiss and the default player will start to play. The hiss wasn't that loud.

[Bug] Random Auto Restart

I bring one more, the background sound of the DAC's own Android devices, always listening, but you find it is analytically sound (or noise) is heard before a complete stop the song to give the stop, a couple of seconds, or maybe 3
And finally, lack of gapless

Edit: other one, When I turn up the volume in PowerAMP gets out, jumps sharply at high volume, again pressing volume up and down at low volume, you press again to turn the volume up and again placed at high volume

Edit 2:the stock player play every songs of memory when you only select one folder in suffle mode

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean.

I wouldn't consider this as a bug because Cowon has never advertised the Z2 supports gapless natively.

Is the boundary setting set to "Folder" or is it set to "All"?

There is a background noise, after pressing the stop button for a couple of seconds, 3 or 4, then the sound disappears, Cowon has tried to repair but still appears, that bug is proper of all android devices

this is explained here

choosing "folder", not "All", the "music" aplication data becomes corrupted, return to work when you delete data from the "music application" in the application manager
I have installed version is 3.31, I have not tested if the bug is repared in 1.33

I recently updated to 1.33.

I have found two bugs.

The scientific calculator
The Point is missing at any calculation. Try it. 1+1 = 20000000000

The new Android Keyboard.
to reach the numbers (in the main letter window) you recently had to hold the buttons from the first line. This doesn't work for the numbers 1, 8, 9 and 0 in 1.33 anymore.

Not the normal calculator. I mean the scientific calculator. The normal calculator works fine. Switch via settings to the "other" calculator and try again.

Ciao Antonios

Really Funny!!
Cowon Z2 doesn't like European languages.
When I switch the language to english or asian languages (heavy stuff to find back in the manues) the calculator works fine.
When I set the language to any european languag like german (i tried some other too) the calculator has this problem.

I'm using 4.33

The numbers don't work on the keyboard from a long press.

Where are the VPN settings?
