i10 won't sync when connected to laptop

When I connect my i10 to my laptop with its USB cable, it automatically goes into Charge+Play mode and starts charging, rather than allowing me to choose between Charge+Play and Charge+Sync mode. This prevents me from syncing my i10.

I have restarted both the i10 and my laptop to no avail. I have tried connecting the cable to a main USB port instead of to my USB hub, but that did not work either. It would be great if anyone could help me fix this. Thanks!
