Default Sony debuts Android-based Walkman prototype

Notice any resemblance to a device you may already own?

Here comes a new challenger...
Is it an Xperia X10?
That looks promising. It would be a killer if it has a microSD slot.

I'll take one. Hopefully it's a better first android attempt than the D3 is from Cowon. Special emphasis on music playback and their subscription service sounds very Zune-ish. Not sure that worked out very well for MS though.

A dedicated W.Button on the side of the device that gives immediate access to music controls, even if the phone is locked.

Why not include physical pause and skip buttons?

The device has the S-Master MX suite of technology for improving audio quality. It can reduce noise, clarify bass and stereo, restore high-frequency sound that was lost during compression, and improve audio quality when using the device's external speakers.

I would like to know more about the sound enhancements, but I doubt they are as good as Jeteffect.

And will they manage to fix the HPOut erratic behavior with some balanced-armature IEMs?
