so the program told me that it hasnt done the flash erase, cause it hasn't got the function for it.

same result as including the flash erase?
(i would buy a cardreader for even faster loading times)

Ok, i want to try this awesome method.

I have a D2+ 16b with 2.1fw and a 32Gb SDHC Verbatim Class 6

I'm use ONLY Flac Files

Now SDFormatter is formatting the SD with the option FULL and FLASH ERASE ON

My questions are:

1) I need to format also the internal memory? If Yes, i need to use SDFormatter?

2) If i format the internal memory, i need to re-install the firmware?

3) Can i Backup the settings of the player?

4) When the format of the sd is complete, can i transfer all my music (15Gb) in one step and updating the DB without corruption?

5) When the format of the Internal Memory is complete, can i transfer all my music (16Gb) in one step and updating the DB without corruption?

Thanks a lot, and sorry for the many questions.

Aiden:

1) Use the Cowon utility to format the internal memory.

2) You would not need to reinstall the firmware.

3) I believe there is a thread that shows you how to back up some settings.

4) Formatting the external SDHC with the Panasonic software will greatly improve speed and reduce issues like corruption. Tagging is the most common reason for corruption. There are threads that suggest successful tagging methods.

It is made by Microsoft and it well be added as windows update to your OS formatter

why when I format with FULL (Erase ON) after the process finishes it says your memory is not formated it happens with ram reader with D2 slot with anything I tested it happens most of the time.
so whats the thing I'm doing wrong or maybe it's natural.

There is a beta version 3 of the formatter available from:

http://www.sdcard.org/consumers/formatter_3/

It supports SDXC cards to format now and officially supports Windows 7 (I'm not sure if it was officially supported before). I didn't read of any other changes relating to SDHC cards. You can also download version 2 directly from the SD association from:

http://www.sdcard.org/consumers/formatter/
