Jetaudio plays files worse than foobar and other programs

Is there any particular reason why sound quality is noticeably worse when i play files using jetaudio as compared to, say, foobar? Using all default settings, no equalizers, etc.

Jetaudio seems to play them "softer", the sound sounds quite muffled as opposed to foobar, which plays it loud and clear.

I dont get it at all...what could be causing this?

Strange i could have sworn i posted this here yesterday.
