New D2 Rockbox theme: AF_Black - Page 2

What a damn work: every single line of the theme code has to be analysed and eventually changed because of the skin format changing.

But now AF_Black is ready for the newer builds after r26641.
Take a look at the first post.

Please test it and give some feedback if it works for you or not.

As far as I know, an automated conversion of the themes in the Rockbox themesite is planned. They even plan to send the authors a diff file of the process. The "oldsite" link will keep the themes with the former syntax. You probably already know, but there's also a conversion utility... but of course everything has to be re checked anyway

And a smaller update:
the developer crew changed the album art tag %C to %Cd and changed the sorting of the parameters in %pb.
So I had to change three lines

Hi.

Here is the update of AF_Black.

As you might see in the AF_Flow thread there were some changes in the last weeks in the current build of rockbox. As a result we have some new functions.

1. AF_Black now supports screen related buttons. I think this will make it easier for absolute point mode users.
2. In the popup menu there is a new hotkey button. This can be used as e.g. jump-to-pictureflow button. If you want to test it you have to do some manual configurations (see post #1 of the AF_Flow thread) in the rockbox menu and the pictureflow menu.
3. Some graphical changes: backdrop went to black (because of possible using of the pictureflow plugin), CD Animation is more smoother, Configuration and File Information screens completely fill the album art area, popup menu got a darker grey to fit to standard WPS buttons, ...

Maybe you want to test it. Please give some feedback then.

Hi.

You all know we have some problems with the latest current releases of Rockbox.

Because of this I work with r27530 and try to optimise my themes.
The screenshots are made with this version, too. With a current release I saw some weird things like deleting the background, errors in the playlists and no chance to go forward in the playlist, strange freezings, ...

The new version includes:
- Other button positioning regarding a problem with the Down button under large rockbox menu lists.
- New FM preset menu

I'm looking forward to your feedback.

I'm running the latest version of rockbox and have hit some of the issues you mentioned, where can I find the 27530 build? It looks like rockbox only keeps the last 3 daily builds, which doesn't go back far enough.

Hey AF.. I put this theme on my player, applied it to see what it looked like, then went to another. The radio screen is now stuck on your theme, and I cant get it to go back to rockbox default, even when applying a full rockbox theme like cabbie, seemingly because your theme is the only one that shows up in the Radio Skin list.. now that I've applied it.. I'd have to apply another theme that has a radio skin?
Can I manually edit a config file to fix this?

Yes - you're right. If you are using other themes without FM Screens the last used FM Screen stays present. But it's easy to delete by editing the config.cfg in the .rockbox folder.

You will see some lines like this:
