Hi all,
over weeks I consolidated ideas for a new theme. My main goal was to use all the display giving lots of information and trying to stay usable for both grid and absolute point mode. Additionaly there should be an alternative design just to differ from other themes. So my idea of a hifi receiver look was born with this brushed metal design. After this I spent a weekend to realize my new theme - and here it is! Album Art is as big as possible without losing space to give as much text information as possible. Without album art it should be usable as well so I placed this nice metal guitar in the album art section. All buttons are animated and touchable by using the absolute point mode. Repeat modes are shown in the black display area. Shuffle Mode, Hold, HDD and battery information are placed in this black area as well. Custom statusbar is used to spend the same look to the menus. New Version: new FM Screen with new FM-related buttons (presets lists are here), new buttons on base rockbox menu, hotkey feature on album art area (if you are interested in browsing via pictureflow plugin please take a look at this). Absolute need of a daily build. Download is here. Give it a try and please leave your comments. I spent a lot of time to do this so I am looking forward to your feedback. Thanks in advance. AsusFreak

Thanks for your feedback, peaceful.
I stored your bitmaps. I think after a while of lazyness I might build an alternative design with these colours. Thanks. BTW: Greetings to Tehran. My best friend here in Germany is persian.

Very nice
I like the base screen. The WPS is informative without being crowded, and the icons are fancy. IMO the text is too small to click using absolute mode, but that might just be a personal problem, since I haven't yet found a Rockbox theme that's comfortable to use in absolute mode. By all means, keep up the great work! |

WOW. Very cool. Don't know if the custom status bar will work very well with other themes, but all in all a very nice theme. Soon I will post mine...

Hi all,
I just reuped my themes AF_Wood, AF_Black and AF_Metal. The developers changed the syntax for multifont. Now we have to set a ".fnt" in the multifont definition code. So after changing to this new syntax all themes with multifont support didn't pass the .rockbox checkwps tool and disappeared from the download page. @MoMonster: Take a look at your breeze theme as well. So if you want to use a newer build with multifont themes you have to use a build after March 2nd, 2010. AF_Metal get some new features as well (see Post #1) and I'm currently editing my last theme AF_Sand and add some cosmetic changes like smaller buttons in the popup menu. Sorry if this causes some trouble when you are updating rockbox but this is the price I have to pay using the daily build instead of using the stable V3.5... ![]()

Hi.
As I did it with AF_Black I had to change the 3x3 grid mode (because it was broken). So I fixed it and spent some more time on this theme:

Yes, here's the update for the last new features.
New: - screen related buttons - FM Screen with new buttons - Base menu with new buttons - Album Art as touchscreen area for the hotkey function - Configuration Screen is dropped (Seems to me I overran the buffer size )If you want to browse your albums via pictureflow plugin instead of the standard list in the rockbox menu than you might read the AF_Flow thread. By the way: in the FM screen there is a new channel button which brings you to the presets list. It's highly recommended to load a region preset list from here otherwise the button is useless...
