I am researching, for as long as my eyes can focus on the gobs and gobs of reveiws and public opinion on the finest media players technology has to offer. I've been searching for months, and would really like to make a decision soon. My personal conviction is that if i'm going to spend the hours it takes to upload my monstrous music collection onto a device, I don't want to have it die on me in 2-3 years, as the majority of these media players do, once the lithium or other rechargable batteries lose the ability to hold a charge. What I have been attempting to discern in the myriad of options on the market are which media players can the user actually replace a battery on that provide higher end audio quality, and higher flash disk/expandable memory capacity. I guess I'm posting this in the COWON area, bc I was looking seriously at the D2+, and would probably pick it up if I knew what the companies charge for replacing the battery was, and if it would replace it after the warranty had expired? Any suggestions on a product that might suit my needs, would be most appreciated!

What a lot of people don't realize with lithium polymers, if your store it or don't plan on using it for a long time, keep it at 50%. Or just overall keep it in 50% in general and away from hitting the low voltage cutoff as much as possible. I've had my fun and troubles with lithium polymer in brushless Trucks and Heli's. At least these players aren't 1s2p, then you'd have to worry about balancing XD

I found this thread with a quick search: http://iaudiophile.net/forums/showthread.php?t=27464
I imagine the D2+ would be a good idea since you can replace the battery yourself and supplement the already sizeable storage. I know I love mine! |
