Confused How to Keep D2+ From Auto-Shutting Off in Hold/Lock Mode or While Music Isn't Playing

How do you keep the D2+ from shutting off automatically? Or, at least delay the time?

Right now, if I pause a song longer than 30 seconds, it shuts off - even when it's hold/lock mode.

I went to General > Display > LCD Auto Off .. and set it to "Always" .. but that only takes care of the Display *while* music is playing.

And yes, I searched for the answer.. it's a little difficult since the main keywords for this are on/off/auto. So, sorry if I missed an answer elsewhere.

Thanks

There used to be a setting on my D2 for auto power down in the settings...in the time settings or something...really can't remember where it was located.

Is that what the 'Auto-off' does?

Just checked the manual, pg 18 "Timer"

Quote:
5. Auto Off · When the player is stopped and no action is taken after a specified time has elapsed, this feature will auto-
matically turn off the player. · This function does not operate during playback.

Edit:

You were right Dominic.. it was in a weird place...

Under Settings > Timer .. mixed in with all the alarm / set time / set 24 hour clock vs 12 hour / wakeup mode.

TY so much.

I've Auto-off set to 30mins, for if I nip into a shop or some other need arises[Press 'M'], I sometimes reset it at 29mins for another half an hour.
I usually listen to music in bed too, so set the timer to 20 or 30mins.
Both features light up the screen on shut-down to inform you.
