Default My Pictures: S9 & Onda VX545HD Displays

A few comparative shots of the S9's (480 x 272) AMOLED display versus the Onda VX545HD's (800 x 480) LCD display.

Each device is displaying the same photos, in the same resolutions (800 x 480 pixels).

No post-processing in any of these photos. Shot with a Canon Powershot SX200 IS.

Bird's eye shot. Shows how good the Onda's LCD is, but the reds and oranges are far more vibrant on the S9.

45 degree angle shot. The Onda LCD begins to deteriorate rapidly. Viewing angle diminishes colour appropriation, and backlight flounders.

70 degree angle shot. No contest. Notice the S9's rich detail.

A different still image displayed on the devices. Again shows the separation in colour and contrast. Purples are very deep on the S9's display, and the sky is beautifully detailed.

I would really like that cowon could include a color tweaking option in future fw. Sometimes colors look too much vibrant, specially with video.

In the first 3 pictures the AMOLED is saying, what are you doing pal? Taking photos of me in angle, what's the point? xDD

Since the A3, I'm in love with those screens at 800x480.

He is showing that the display on the S9 is richer than LCD's could EVER provide and that the viewing angles are unmatched- the S9 can be viewed at any angle with no degrading of image quality unlike LCD that does degrade constantly at any angle.

Sadly, after getting my Cowon S9, I can't bear to "downgrade" to LCD MP3 players ever again, AMOLED is the future and has totally spoiled me (heck, I'm thinking about selling my 16GB model to get the 32GB model). Once you hold the Cowon S9 in your hands and see the screen yourself, no words or pictures can explain how great the screen really is...
