I ran several benchmarks on my Z2 to give you a basis for comparisons with other Android devices.

What does this mean? Are these benchmarks favorable?

They are quite bad compared to today's hardware. But to be honest, I didn't expect stunning results since the used chipset was made by Telechips.
Anyway, you can google for "CF-Bench results" (just an example) and then compare the results you get with the results I posted here. My personal experience: Most games work very well, but there's sometimes lag. One game I always play on my Palm Pre (500 MHz CPU overclocked to 1 GHz) is very laggy on the Z2, it's actually unplayable. On my Palm Pre it's perfectly smooth. That annoys me because I the Z2's screen is larger and that game would be more fun on it, but the lag... anyway, that's just one case. The rest works quite well.

By these benchmarks are you saying the Z2 is compatible to the Nexus S? I know someone with that phone and it runs the essential tasks quite smoothly. That could give me good indication of the Z2 performance.

Nice work there, now we got statics and figures to compare now. Btw, how long could your Z2 battery last?

I haven't tested that yet.
![]() --- Some news regarding the performance: I have tested a lot games now, here are a few: - Angry Birds (Classic/Seasons/Rio) - Ceramic Destroyer - Glow Hockey (good basis for comparison because there's also a webOS version of this game for my Palm Pre) - Air Attack HD Part 1 - Fruit Ninja Free - Two free Gameloft games - Jump (aka Super Jump on webOS) Here's my impression on 2D (with absolutely no 3D objects) games: Except for Super Jump, all 2D games work very smoothly. Angry Birds sometimes lags, but it's definitely playable and the other games work without any problems. I guess Super Jump is unplayable (too much lag/freezes) because the developer didn't port it from webOS to Android properly, the graphics are very simple and I don't see what could make it lag except for bad code. 3D games: The two Gameloft games started... and refused to proceed because they aren't compatible with the Z2. I guess it's safe to say that none of the Gameloft apps work on the Z2. Fruit Ninja, Air Attack HD Part 1 and some other 3D games whose names I don't remember because I didn't like them are perfectly smooth. They aren't "real" 3D games, though, but rather 2D games with 3D objects (example: Fruit Ninja: 2D background, 3D fruits/bombs). Update: Speed Forge 3D Free works smoothly - but please note that the free version has crappy graphics.

I tested the benchmark game "Electopia"... it has fantastic graphics and it runs quite smoothly. Of course it's a bit choppy sometimes, but runs better than I expected.
