Default the end of my Cowon A2 ?? ;-(

Hello,

I have a problem with my cowon A2. I bought a few years ago. I Think 3-4 years. Since 2 days the cowon A2 doesn't work but the hard disk work when I connect to my computer as external hard disk.
It's strange when I power on the background cowon with blue screen start then come "system initialize" and power off immediately :-(
I tried to install a new firmware (1.91 of 1.95) but nothing.
When I put the adapter same problem.
My cowon is definitif dead or perhaps a thing to save it ?

thanks for your help.
Regards.

Evaristo.

I have formatted the hard disk (complete formatting) and then installed the new firmware (1.93) and that's work again. Fantasssssssstic !!!!!!!

I had exactally the same issue - start up screen for a few seconds then nothing. Then I connected to the PC and I had the 'file transfer' image on the COWON screen, with the full directory visible on the drive. When I disconnected I started to get the same start up screen followed by the red cross. After I formatted the COWON I downloaded the zip file with the firmware (v1.91) and extracted it to the root directory of the COWON. Now I don't get any file transfer image when connected to the PC and there is no longer any start up screen when pressing the power button. What to do now????I can't find v1.95...still looking but a link would be most helpful

Oh YAY! The v1.93 firmware worked. I got it from the Korean site and basically clicked a few buttons that had the numbers v1.93 on them until it started to download. Thanks for the lead.
