Just wanted to say that it's thanks to the D3 having a proprietary cable that for the last 17months it was probably one of only a handful of (or less!) android devices which supported digital audio...

Judging by how Cowon are often quite 'cost effective' with their hardware choices (even the often touted Wolfson DAC chips which Cowon use retail at around $3), I don't think they are going to waste...

Try getting in touch with advancedmp3players. They are one of Cowon's authorised distributors in the UK and have engineers who visit Cowon for training. Being an S9 I'm guessing it's outside warranty...

I know that some routers have their 'n broadband' at 5ghz whilst 'n' capable portable devices (inc commerical ones like iphone) can only see 'n broadband' broadcasting at 2.4ghz. Check your router...
